only good things are ahead

i've been in this kind of situation. more than once. one day you walk into the office and you find out that you and everyone else you work with is losing their job at the end of the day. it's frightening. the floor falls out from under you, you wonder how you will pay for rent and start thinking about how much ramen costs these days. what's worse, is that all that work that you've done has built up to this moment and you are forced to start all over again. but not always. when the editorial staff of good found out that they were being laid off for strategic reasons, they decided in one last hoorah together they would produce a single publication fittingly named tomorrow.

cord jefferson, former senior editor states that this isn't going to be one of those highly uncomfortable farewell letters disgruntled employees send in disguise, but rather a way to do one more highly creative and well-composed piece together. he states, “I think some people are anticipating tomorrow to be a revenge publication in which we’re all going to express our grievances, I want it to be explicitly clear that that’s not what this project is about. Our goal with Tomorrow is to focus on creating something new, inventive and beautiful out of a bad situation.”

follow their tumblr here and make sure to support their kickstarter once it goes up.
